Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. We all have that one person we wish we never dated, mostly because they might have a few screws loose up there. This woman took the break up a little too far when she crashed her car into her ex-boyfriend’s house at Taman Perling.
Johor Bharu Utara deputy police chief Superintendent Fariz Ammar Abdullah arrested the 20-year-old woman at 6.30am, 90 minutes after receiving complaints from the victim.
She was reportedly threatening to burn down the family’s business premises and damage their property. Upon receiving the complaint, a police team went to the home and found that a car had been driven into the automatic gate of the home.
She fled the scene before the police arrived but fortunately, they tracked her down and arrested her. Upon further investigation, the police uncovered that she was the ex-girlfriend of the younger brother of the complainant and that they had broken up last month.
Fariz Ammar said the woman did not have a criminal record but a preliminary urine test showed that she was positive for the banned drug benzodiazepine, a drug that gives psychoactive effects and is usually used to treat anxiety.
A video was also discovered of someone pouring liquid, presumably petrol, all over the family’s motorcycle shop before all this had happened.
The damage from the automatic gate crash also led to a car being damaged inside the house, which caused overall damages worth RM15,000.
Fariz Ammar said the case was being investigated under sections 506 and 427 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. She is currently being held in custody for four days.
As much as the other person deserves it, violence isn’t the answer! Try some therapy instead.
