Yesterday (11 Aug), a man with the title of “Datuk Seri” was among 25 people arrested in a police raid during a wild party at a bungalow in Janda Baik, Pahang. Those arrested were both foreigners and locals aged between 18 and 64.

According to The Star, Bentong district police chief Zaiham Kahar said that the raid was conducted at 1am on Thursday following a tip-off from the public.

“During the raid, the police seized 2.18g of what is believed to be ketamine, and 1.43g of Eramin 5 pills. The estimated value of the drugs is RM800.

“There will be no compromise in combating drugs within the Bentong district. I also thank the public, especially those in Bentong, who shared information with the police,” he said.

Early investigations also showed that the bungalow had been rented for RM15,000.

“The preliminary urine screening of the suspects, comprising 15 men and 10 women, found all of them were positive for drugs. One person among those arrested is a 46-year-old Datuk Seri and police are still investigating who organised the party.

“All the suspects have been remanded for four days from today for investigations under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said in a statement.
