Merdeka and Malaysia Day 2020 is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate this crazy melting pot of cultures known as Malaysia then by tuning in to the Dr. Jason Leong: Hashtag Blessed stand-up comedy special on Netflix this 16 September.

Following the success of previous Netflix specials starring local comedians Harith Iskandar and Kavin Jay, Dr Jason Leong’s show will be the third comedy stand-up special to hail from Malaysia (if you don’t count Malaysia-born comedian Ronnie Chieng).

“I’m excited to be on Netflix. Now the world can see how good I am at stand-up comedy. And also my humility. When it comes to being humble, I am the best. And also comedy. Yes,” said Dr Leong.

On Wednesday, the streaming giant finally released the trailer for the highly awaited show. Watch it below!

Fortunately for us, Leong quit his job in medicine to tackle business class show-offs, traditional healers and other insufferable creatures. If not, we wouldn’t be able to laugh ha-ha in the midst of this pandemic today!

In this stand-up special, you can watch him drop some truth bombs about the miracle of childbirth, and tell us how he has repurposed his medical stethoscope for something far more useful than listening to heartbeats.

‘Dr Jason Leong: Hashtag Blessed’ will be available on Netflix in 190 countries in September 2020.

Makes sure to follow the comedian on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates!
