Woman’s Body Found in Car Registered to Rising Star D4vd

A shocking discovery has been made in Los Angeles after the body of a woman was found in the front trunk of a car registered to the rising star D4vd.

The 20-year-old artist, best known for his viral hits ‘Romantic Homicide’ and ‘Here With Me’, is said to be cooperating fully with investigators as authorities work to piece together what happened.

Foul odour reported coming from a Tesla

Police were called to an impound lot on North Mansfield Avenue just after midday on 8 September 2025. Someone had reported a foul odour coming from a Tesla that had been sitting in the yard for two days.

Inside the front trunk, officers found a dismembered body sealed in a plastic bag. The car, a Tesla registered to D4vd under his real name, David Anthony Burke, had originally been towed from the Hollywood Hills, where it had been abandoned for nearly a week.

Officials have described the victim as a woman with wavy black hair and a distinctive “Shhhh” tattoo on her finger. She’s yet to be formally identified, and investigators haven’t released any details of her cause of death. For now, though, the case is being treated as a homicide.

Business as usual for D4vd

While news of the grisly discovery broke this week, D4vd has continued his ongoing Withered World North American tour. On 9 September, just hours after reports first surfaced, he performed in Minneapolis, where footage shows him giving away toys to the crowd.

D4vd first shot to fame on TikTok before climbing the charts worldwide. He’s become one of the most streamed young musicians of his generation, pulling in more than 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Despite his growing popularity, the discovery of a body in a car registered to him has definitely cast an unexpected shadow over his tour. The investigation has even prompted Crocs and Hollister to remove D4vd from their collaborative campaign, which first launched on 3 September.

At this stage, police say there are many unanswered questions: from the woman’s identity and cause of death, to how the car came to be abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.

For now, investigators continue their work, while the music world watches closely.
