According to Harian Metro, police have started a probe on alleged sexual harassment of a nurse by an elderly Covid-19 patient in Melaka.

State CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Nor Yhazid Idris confirmed that a police report was lodged by the 29-year-old nurse at Melaka Tengah police headquarters on 10 October.

In her report, the nurse claimed the 60-year-old patient forced her to hold his penis while she was attending to him at the Melaka Hospital intensive care unit at 5.45 pm on Oct 9. She also alleged the patient made a video call to a woman and that he had a raunchy conversation while she was attending to him.

Recently, the police report has gone viral on social media platforms. Take a look:

According to the report, the culprit struck up a raunchy conversation with the nurse while she was performing a blood test. The man initially received a call from a woman, believed to be his wife, and turned the speaker on while speaking to the phone.

Based on the conversation, the caller asked what the senior citizen was doing. He casually responded that he was having an “intimate act” with the nurse on duty. The patient even offered to make a video call to show what he was doing. His words caused the nurse to panic as she was alone in the room with the man.

As soon as the man ended the call, he asked the nurse to see the new size of the urine condom catheter and forced the nurse to install it by touching his genitals. Disturbed by the tone of his request and his earlier lewd remarks, the nurse declined and asked him to do it himself before leaving the room.

The nurse then reported the incident to her superior, who told her to lodge a police report.

State health director Datuk Dr Ismail Ali said in a statement that the authorities were aware of the incident. He said an internal investigation was being comprehensively conducted and that the health authorities would give its full cooperation in the probe.
