As part of their global ‘I Rise, We Rise’ movement, Chivas is bringing the ultimate party weekend to KL, woohoo! 😀

The ‘I Rise, We Rise’ movement celebrates those who forge their own paths and elevate themselves, as well as others around them. But the campaign also recognises that success is no longer just about an individual win, but how everybody’s wins contribute to the collective. Success is always best when it’s shared, whether within a team or an entire community.

Earlier this year, Chivas Regal announced K-pop icon LISA as their new ambassador, making her the first female face of the brand in Asia. This marked the launch of a new global campaign that was inspired by LISA’s own personal hustle journey as she continues to carve her own path, inspiring those around her along the way.

The campaign has now made its way to KL and is set to blend music, art, street fashion, and drinks into one epic weekend party, awww yeaaahh! Time to end October with a bang!

With four rooms offering different curated experiences, dive into the wonderful world of Chivas, the world’s best-selling Scotch whisky. The pop-up event will also feature four Chivas ‘Hero Risers’ and their talents, celebrating their respective hustle journeys and the communities they’ve raised, or that raised them.

Hailing from different backgrounds, these individuals collectively represent what their respective communities stand for, and are a driving force in elevating their industries in their own individual ways.

Here are the event deets:
Dates: 28 & 29 October
Venue: Sentul Depot
Time: 1pm – 5pm (Day Session) | 7pm – Midnight (Main Stage)

Have we piqued your curiosity? Here’s what you can expect at the two-day event:

1. Party the night away with an explosive lineup of DJs

Whichever night you decide to go for, gear up for a stellar lineup of DJs that is sure to ensure good music and good vibes. DJ Pei Pei (Taiwan), DJ SCNDL (Australia), and Roxy June (Thailand) will be taking the main stage, alongside some familiar local names like BATE and Ramsey Westwood. Acts from DJs Playground will also be there, including DJ Reeve, Nexto, DJ Julian, VGENE, MizzKiya, and more.

Hero Risers DJs Playground — led by DJ Reeve, NEXTO and DJ Julian — is a collective that is no stranger to the DJ community. Noted as the first and only DJ academy in Malaysia, the group aims to inspire and cultivate a new generation of DJs by sharing their love for music and the art of blending styles and genres.

2. Be wowed by the intricacies of an interactive art installation

If you attended Good Vibes Festival 2019 in Genting Highlands, you may remember seeing a large, colourful, and interactive structure. Well, the artist behind that piece, Pamela Tan of Poh Sin Studios, has designed an interactive art installation that creatively depicts the message behind ‘I Rise, We Rise’.

Putting her architectural background to unconventional use, Pamela is known for creating unique installations that are both interactive and meaningful. Some of her pieces have even received recognition at the prestigious Design For Asia Awards in 2020.

3. Discover the definition of street luxe style with the Chivas x NERDUNIT collab

Chivas is excited to unveil a collab with streetwear king NERDUNIT, releasing two limited edition designs at the event. The partnership represents the union of two pioneering brands, as well as the blend of street fashion and luxury.

It’s no surprise that the founder of NERDUNIT, Ronald Chew, is one of the featured Chivas Hero Risers. Having been ahead of the streetwear game in Malaysia, he is now continuing to broaden his horizons into different industries such as F&B.

You’ve definitely gotta get your hands on the stylish streetwear that’ll be at the event!

4. Enjoy bespoke cocktails from some of KL’s finest bartenders

A star-studded lineup of bartenders will be at the ready to serve delicious Chivas 12 cocktails!

Jon Lee, the founder of KL’s hottest new cocktail bar, Penrose, will be taking over the bar with a few of his peers who have contributed to his drive towards success, namely Shawn Chong of Bar Mizukami, Karl Too of Happy Stan, Affie Adut of Here & Now, and friends from Bar Trigona. Also serving up drinks is special international guest Mel John Chavez from Smoke & Mirrors in Singapore.

Jon started his bartending journey at Tippling Club, one of Singapore’s renowned bars, where he worked with great mentors to unlock his potential and sparked a lifelong passion for the industry. That’s also where he met Mel Chavez. With the belief that success is a journey, not a destination, Jon continues to push his boundaries with Penrose and hone his art to offer exquisitely-crafted cocktails.

Refreshing highballs will also be on offer at the event, so you’ll be spoilt for choice on ways to enjoy the smooth, flavourful taste of Chivas 12.

Pumped yet? Well, that’s not all!

Everyone who attends the event stands a chance of winning exclusive tickets for a special virtual event featuring none other than the new Chivas Regal Global Ambassador, LISA. Wowww!

As a reminder, the legal drinking age in Malaysia is 21 years old. That means you need to be 21 and non-Muslim in order to buy and consume alcohol. Remember to always drink responsibly and in moderation. Don’t drink and drive. If you plan to drink, try carpooling with a friend who isn’t drinking or catch a cab instead of driving.
