Chili’s First Outlet at Bangsar Shopping Centre is Closing Down After 27 Years
The beloved Tex-Mex franchise, Chili’s has announced that after 27 years, its flagship store in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) will be closing down for good.
The restaurant, which opened back in June 1994, announced the news of the closure on their Facebook page on 10 March.
“It’s been an awesome 27 years for Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our guests at Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre for your support over the years,” the post reads.
“We’re sadly saying goodbye to our very first flagship store. Drop by for one last time before March 31 to say goodbye as we will be permanently closing Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre outlet soon.”
Although Chili’s did not mention the reason they’re closing down, it is not hard to see how the Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting the F&B industry.
Many Malaysians shared their fond memories of dining at the BSC outlet with their family and friends, and how sad they are about the closure of the restaurant.
Though you won’t be able to relive the good moments you had there after this month, you can make new ones since Chili’s has other branches especially in the Klang Valley area.
