Five Friends Walked Away With Minor Injuries After Their Car Flew Down 30 Meters Into ‘Gaung’
Phew… what a close call!
Just yesterday (8 Aug), five friends had a narrow escape after their car fell 30.48 metres down a ravine at Jalan Teluk Bahang in Penang. While the accident might look alarming, fortunately, the five men only sustained minor injuries.
According to Malay Mail, the Teluk Bahang fire station was alerted to the incident, near the famous Titi Kerawang waterfall, at 3.03 pm. When they arrived at the scene, firemen found a Proton Saga BLM with the five friends, all aged 20 and 21, trapped inside.

“The operation commander then carried out a size-up at the location and ordered firemen to carry out works to extract the victims using special equipment before all of them were successfully brought up safely,” said operations officer Rafiuddin Mass Ariffin.
The rescue operation ended at 4.40 pm and the men were all brought to the hospital for further treatment.
