Daughter Murdered By Friend In Front of Helpless Bedridden Mother

Tragedy struck a family in Terengganu this morning when a robbery occurred at their house in Kampung Lubok Batu, Telemong. A bedridden mother suffering from brain cancer could only watch helplessly as she witnessed her 19-year-old daughter getting stabbed to death during the incident.

The victim, Siti Nur Surya Ismail was found dead in the living room by her sister, Diana Syuhada Ismail, 15, when she returned from school. The victim had suffered multiple stab wounds and a severed left wrist.

Later on, the family’s brother Mohd Zaid Azroi Ismail, 28, was contacted by Diana while at work in Kampung Bukit Payong.

Through investigations, Terengganu police criminal investigation department Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Marzukhi Mohd Mokhtar ruled out that the robbery and murder were committed by a single person. The suspects had also taken some cash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
