Lee Zii Jia Puts The ‘Kedah’ in Kpop by Recording New Song with Oppo Malaysia

Most of us may know Lee Zii Jia for his powerhouse performance on the badminton court at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, that has since gained the attention and admiration of Malaysia’s gem, Lee Cheong Wei, but I bet you didn’t know that Zii Jia also shines as a musician.

In true zoomer fashion, Lee constantly updates his social media with snippets of him rapping and playing the guitar.

Since he’s so jambu, he has also captured the hearts of Malaysian girls who have even made fancams of him, similar to Kpop idols. Hanna, dul set! Anyeong haseyo, Lee Zii Jia imnida!

Equipped with good looks, rap flow and guitar playing, Lee has embarked on a new journey and this time, in the music industry.

His songs have caught the attention of Oppo Malaysia, who announced that they will be working with Lee to produce a song titled, ‘Ten Thousand Emotions, in Portrait.’

This is aptly titled because it comes in conjunction with the launch of OPPO Reno6 Z which is designed to capture your memories in portrait mode. See what they did there?

“Lee will sing of the different emotions he experienced throughout his journey thus far. From bitter and painful moments, to sweet, victorious ones, Lee will bare it all in a song together with his guitar!” the company said in a statement.

With this joint venture, it seems like Lee won’t be putting all his shuttlecocks in one basket. Hopefully, since he’s an Alor Setar native, he’ll also be putting the Kedah in Kpop.
