PHOTOS: KAWS, Prabal Gurung & More American Artists Team Up To Create Joe Biden & Kamala Harris’ Campaign Merch
This year’s 2020 US presidential election might just get a little more fashionable for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ campaign as a group of well-known artists and designers including KAWS, Prabal Gurung and Gabriela Hearst have partnered up to show their support by designing the pair’s campaign’s merchandise.
According to Hypebeast, the diverse group of designers have come up with a more modern thematic union-made design that features printed bandannas, custom scarves, and hoodies with the words “Vote Joe” written on the front; whereas graphic designer and art director Joe Perez has created a more streetwear themed design with bucket hats and tie-dye shirt with acid graphic designs of Biden’s campaign that kinda looks a Grateful Dead concert tour tee.
“We are in a battle to restore the soul of our nation, and we’re seeing Americans across the country come together in a variety of ways to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris because they are the leaders we need to heal and unite the country. I thank these designers for volunteering their time and talents to help win this election and the hardworking people who brought these designs to life,” said Rufus Gifford, deputy campaign manager (Biden for President), in a statement.
Creating merchandise that’s eye-catching and inclusive is a great way to boost a campaign. Can we expect something like this in our next election in Malaysia?
