Malaysia recorded an all-time high of 11,079 Covid-19 cases recorded in a single day, tweeted the Health Ministry today (13 July). This takes the number of cumulative cases to 855,949.
Not only does the figure surpass the previous high of 9,539 cases on 9 July, but this is also the first time daily cases have breached the 10,000 mark.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor alone recorded 5,263 new cases, followed by 1,521 in Kuala Lumpur.
