Youtube Slap Pranksters To Be Investigated, Police Calls For Anyone With Information To Come Forward
Last week, JUICE reported on a local YouTuber and his friend who thought it would be funny to go around pretending to slap people at Mid Valley Megamall.
Netizens were outraged and demanded the pair be reprimanded for their actions.
It was reported on Saturday (October 16) that police have started investigating them for causing a public disturbance and risking someone actually getting hurt due to their childish behaviour.
Assistant Commissioner from Brickfields, Anuar Omar, says that they detected the video through a Facebook page account at around 6:30pm on Friday.
“The actual date and time of the events from the video have not been specified nor uncovered at this time.”
Following up, he requests witnesses or individuals who have seen or been involved in the prank to come forward and assist them in the investigation.
The public has been advised not to speculate on their own accord.
He added that any violation in breach of the law could hold those responsible to be prosecuted.
If you have any information on the incident, you can contact the Brickfields Police Headquarters hotline at 03-2297 9222.
