New Zealand band Yumi Zouma makes dreamy, lush alt pop that can very well get you to dance. Although each members of the band are located at different, far-flung places, the band has somehow managed to converge together to release two EPs, which didn’t have names unfortunately; they were simply just EP and EP II. Despite thinking that Yumi Zouma would only be an internet project, the band has however gotten plenty of accolades for their brand of wistful, groovy pop sensibilities. Additionally, opening for the band would be Malaysian’s own ’80s-derived synth pop one-man band, M.O.I.S.T. It should be a wondrous evening to be had by all.
