Why Are Some People Saying You Can’t Eat In Your Car During MCO 3.0? Here’s The Explanation…
We all miss dining in at our favourite restaurants and having weekly catch-ups with our friends over some great food.
However, to curb the Covid-19 virus, Malaysians have been opting to either takeaway or cook at home.
Recognising the demand for dine-ins, a few restaurants have implemented the drive-in dining option for customers who still feel like dining in – except they’re just eating their food in the car at designated spots outside of the restaurant.
With this becoming increasingly popular, an update has been made in the SOPs to ensure that this practice stops.
Due to the fact that servers are still making contact with customers, drive-ins have been prohibited to further encourage social distancing and isolation.
This is not to be confused with taking-away our own food and eating it in the car. If you want to do so, that is still allowed since there is minimal contact between customers and servers.
This is a new development in MCO 3.0 because prior to this, drive-ins were permitted.
