What Went Down: Johnnie Walker Double Black ‘Intensity’ Party @ Aruku, Johor Bahru

It’s safe to say that Johnnie Walker knows how to throw a damn good party as they have never disappointed their fans with the celebration of one of their prized liquors; Johnnie Walker Double Black. Johnnie Walker celebrated full throttle — throwing free flow of drinks of Double Black drinks — at their recent themed party, Intensity. The, well, intense party took place at Aruku, The Walk in our southern state Johor Bahru last 1 February.

The night in Aruku was filled with fist pumping dudes and scantily-clad vixens having a good time as they were greeted at the entrance by Johnnie Walker Double Black brand ambassador twins. Within the night, guests were able to abuse the open bar as they were offered free flows of Johnnie Walker Double Black drinks that included Johnnie Walker’s special drink of the night ‘Double Black Mojito’, which had the guests experiencing the smoky and bold flavour of the drink on a whole new level.

As the guests enjoyed the drinks and socialised around the night club, Johnnie Walker invited international DJ-cum-model, Sarah Robertson, who drove the crowd wild and heavy. We wouldn’t expect nothing less, considering Sarah Robertson has DJed alongside artistes such as Snoop Lion, LMFAO, Calvin Harris, Justice, Sneaky Sounds System, Moby, Flo Rida, and many more. Our own DJ Faith surprised us by showing what Malaysian talents are made of as she opened the night to optimal fist-pumping while Miss World Malaysia 2011 Nadia Heng hosted the intense night, thrilling closed to a thousand Johorians. With a sophisticated combination of taste, sights, and sounds, the night was one of the best parties that Johoreans won’t soon forget.

The multi-award winning scotch whiskey has won numerous awards including the highest honour at Spirits Business World Whisky Masters 2010, 2 gold medals from the International Spirit Challenge, and a total of 4 silver medals from the International Spirit Challenge and International Wine & Spirits Competition. Celebrating its 190 years of dedication to delivering rich, bold, and intense flavours of the Johnnie Walker Double Black, which was first introduced for a limited time only in Malaysia back in November 2011, Johnnie Walker Double Black ‘Intensity’ definitely made the brand proud.
