After the chaotic Saturday (16 January) night at the Bangsar’s branch, myBurgerLab recently made an apology statement on social media for the cancelled orders.

The 8pm closing time during MCO has proven to be difficult for both restaurants and customers, and with the flood of orders that came in, myBurgerLab claimed they did their best to complete those orders.

By 8:30pm, some delivery riders were still waiting outside as the Bangsar’s branch struggled to complete the orders and by 9pm, the police arrived and asked them to close shop as per the SOP.

In an Instagram post, they requested for customers to personally message them if their orders were cancelled and promised to make up for it. “We’re sorry. We fcked up tonight”

Speaking to Malay Mail, myBurgerLab co-founder, Chin Ren Yi said there was a technical glitch on the Grab app. They had 30 to 40 customers ordering at 7pm and orders coming in at 7:30pm causing a queue of waiting riders.

They’re also giving away free meal vouchers for anyone whose order was cancelled that night, which is currently 10 unfulfilled orders.

Even with all the complaints, the apology was well accepted by customers based on the comment section with many commenters saying they did their best to fix the situation.

Hey, who can say no to a double Elvis burger and some mash potatoes?
