VIDEO: Type Safari with James Victore
Design nerds are definitely going to get a kick out of this video. It follows designer James Victore as he traverses through the streets of Brooklyn and Queens in an open top army jeep to analyse the various typography designs on the numerous signages found around the area. Breaking down what and why the designs were used as well as whether they were apt, James also points out the significance of typography and its ability to put art on the streets. A very heartfelt video that shows people there’s more than meets the eyes when it comes to the type you see on store signs, which will make you think question the aesthetics of your neighbourhood’s signages towards the end.
