The effects of going through a day with a gaggle of people can wear on a person, but even so, just like filmmaker Lucette Braune has said regarding the inspiration for the making of this animated short, a stranger can leave an impression on you no matter how transient or minute the moment was. In this 8-minute short, it tells the short journey of a woman travelling to the grocery store, and in a sort of a watercolour dance, she moves through people; sometimes she melds with others for a delayed amount of moments, sometimes she passes right through them unaffected and without acknowledgement. The usage of different hues are indicators of a person’s mien and the employment of the watercolour technique perfectly shows the varying degrees of an impression.
