Touch ‘n Go has just released its latest charm just in time for Chinese New Year.

With 2024 being the Year of the Dragon, it’s only fitting that the new Touch ‘n Go charm features a red and yellow dragon holding onto a gold sycee.

The charm is NFC-enabled, which means you can use it like you would a regular Touch ‘n Go card for toll payments, train and bus fares, as well as parking. It costs just RM30 on the official Touch ‘n Go Shopee page.

Tiny, cute, and convenient

You can also reload it via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app (available on iOS and Android). Just tap and hold your charm onto the back of your NFC-enabled smartphone and enter your reload amount. It’s really that simple.

In addition to the dragon charm, Touch ‘n Go has also released a special edition Chinese New Year Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card, which looks super sleek in its red and gold design:

The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go Chinese New Year card (RM25) is sold out at the time of writing, but we think there might be a restock. If you managed to get your hands on one already, you’ll be glad to know it has the same NFC capabilities as the charm, since it’s an enhanced card.

If dragons aren’t your style, these other charm options might tickle your fancy

This isn’t Touch ‘n Go’s first time releasing NFC charms. In the past, they’ve also released a rabbit, oyen, and a pair of gingerbread men. The rabbit charm is sold out, but you can still get the oyen and gingerbread men!

The oyen charm costs RM30, and can be bought here.

Meanwhile, if you opt for the gingerbread man, you’ve got two options: One wearing a scarf, and the other wearing suspenders. Cute.

Like the oyen and dragon charms, the gingerbread man charms also costs RM30 each, and can be bought here.
