If you’re a horror enthusiast or a fan of all things creepy, the name Tim Burton probably sends chills of the best kind down your spine.
Burton is well-known for his work as a filmmaker, but he is also a renowned artist with skills in a range of media, including fine art, photography, and sculpture.
Next month, Malaysian fans will have the chance to witness the director’s magic firsthand with a personal exhibition christened ‘The World of Tim Burton’ commemorating his work. The horror icon will also be visiting Malaysia for the very first time, where VIP ticket holders will have access to a book signing opportunity.
The exhibition will showcase 540 unique artefacts from Burton’s personal stash, charting his artistic path from early sketches to his most recent film ventures. Burton is well renowned for his enigmatic, dark, horror-inspired movies that blend live-action and stop-motion graphics to conjure spooky, evocative realms.
Via an exact reproduction of Tim Burton’s personal studio where he actually works, an exclusive opportunity sneak glimpse into the ongoing projects will be granted to the audience throughout this exhibition.
Only 100 tickets are available for the RM1,500 VIP ticket package, which also entails a priority access lane and exclusive merch. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, February 25, at 12pm. For general admission passes, refer below:
A variety of bundle packages for families and groups, VIP packages with added perks, and season passes, which allow fans to enter the exhibition multiple times, will be available. Additional information will be released soon.
The event will run from March 31 through July 30 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
