When you think of Pornhub, the mind naturally points towards content of the adult variety, and rarely scholastic endeavours.

Well it’s high time you update your pre-conceived notions, as a Taiwanese teacher has taken the platform by storm with – get this – classes teaching maths. No really, classes about numbers, functions and graphs.

The mastermind, Changshu, is a 34-year-old schoolteacher and holds a masters degree in the subject. Having taught maths for over 15 years offline and on YouTube, late last year he was looking for new audiences for his content.

“Since very few people teach math on adult video platforms, and since there are so many people who watch videos on them, I thought that if I uploaded my videos there, a lot of people would see them,” he recounted to Mel Magazine.

Despite the seeming mismatch, his videos have been a smashing hit, racking up over 1.6 million views and growing steadily.

Chang’s account was also recently verified on Pornhub, marking his acceptance on the platform.

Besides Pornhub, Chang even tried his luck on other adult websites such as XVideos and XNXX, but the content was removed by the algorithm for not being pornographic.

“People may not be interested in my videos (on adult sites), but they’ll all know there’s a teacher who teaches calculus (there)…. Many students who need a teacher who can teach math know me through Pornhub, and some of them buy my course.”

It was reported that his paid online course, which is offered separately from the already in-depth free content he puts out, rakes in roughly USD250,000 (RM1 Million) a year.

His account even includes some witty ‘personal information’, such as his turn offs like his “channel being deleted by Pornhub”. (source: Boing Boing)

The comments left on his videos are largely positive, with many users citing his thorough explanations, albeit only offered completely in Mandarin as of now.

Whether it’s your upcoming maths finals, or next time somebody brings up your browser history, Changshu has got you covered.
