Tanaka Tatsuya’s Miniature Calendar
Art director and designer Tanaka Tasuya started the Miniature Calendar project since April 2011. Quite straightforwardly, the designer would create scenes out of household, everyday materials with miniature people every single day. Of course, the Japanese artist has gotten plenty of press for his innovative, detailed work; the Miniature Calendar project has been so popular that it has even become a book called Miniature Life. It feels like The Truman Show in a sense, where the figurines seem to be living their diminutive, constructed lives, unfazed by the larger being that’s controlling their every move.
