When it comes to Muar MP Syed Saddiq, one of the common traits associated with him is his love for his two cats, Meow Meow and Toby, who he included in his asset declaration last year with an invaluable worth.

In an emotional Twitter post this morning, the politician revealed that Toby had suddenly passed away.

Toby, my beloved cat has left us.

So sudden.

So sad.

I miss him so much.

Thank you for being there for me in the toughest of times.

“Toby, my beloved cat has left us. So sudden. So sad. I miss him so much. Thank you for being there for me in the toughest of times. May you rest well in Cat heaven,” he wrote, alongside photos of him with the beloved feline.

Netizens rushed to Saddiq’s social media profiles, including one dedicated to publishing images of his cats, to leave their condolences in the comments section. Many also noted that they could relate to what the minister was feeling, having lost a pet themselves.
