Stovelab is proud to unveil the first instalment of its brand-new content series, Setscapes, with a spectacular Chinese New Year special DJ set featuring the talented Vanns Ngo.

This debut set was recorded at the iconic Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur, blending tradition, culture, and modern artistry to create an unforgettable musical experience.

Thean Hou Temple: A perfect backdrop to blend culture and modern music

For the inaugural episode of Setscapes, Stovelab chose the stunning Thean Hou Temple, a symbol of heritage and spirituality in Kuala Lumpur.

According to the founder of Stovelab, Rizq, the temple’s management supported the project, allowing this sacred space to transform into a vibrant stage for modern entertainment.

The set was recorded on the mystical night of the Wolf Moon, with light rain earlier in the evening blessing the event and cool air creating the perfect ambience.

Reflecting on her DJ set at Setscapes, Vanns Ngo shared that the experience was spectacular and unforgettable.

“Performing at Thean Hou Temple was surreal. The energy of the space, combined with the rain-cleared cool air, made it an unforgettable experience.

“I wanted my set to embody both the tradition of the venue and the modern vibe of Stovelab. With perfect timing, location, and harmony—everything aligned to make this magical set happen,” she said.

Rizq also thanked Vanns Ngo and his team for working hard to make the show a success.

“After being consistent for the past 40 episodes on Stovelab, the team is committed to this new series, Setscapes. Vanns also did an amazing job with the location management and curated music that set the tone for this incredible opportunity.

“It was an exciting project, and this is only the first of many Setscapes to come,” said the founder.
