When talking about painting, the medium fire rarely comes to mind, which is what makes Steve Spazuk’s work so unique and amazing. Developing and perfecting a unique technique by using the flame of a candle or torch as a pencil, Steve creates his paintings with the trails of soot. Using various tool, he sculpts the plumes of soot left behind into shapes that appear on the canvas.
