At only 26 years old, Aziza Aznizan has already made a name for herself as a successful pageant queen who’s had her name plastered across multiple headlines commemorating her achievements and philanthropy.

Aziza, the co-founder of a charitable NGO, was named Miss Tourism Danu Serian 2022 in October. The stunning philanthropist also set an impressive record of being the youngest Malaysian to travel to the most countries across the globe, with 92 to date. She began her solo travels at just 18 years old.

Traveling to far-flung locations each month for a few days to learn more about the locals, culture, cuisine and stories are what first piqued Aziza’s thirst for fresh experiences and perspectives.

On her travels, she also conducts charity work under Paint The World, the NGO she co-founded, which aims to “bring together young people from all backgrounds, including racial, religious, and socioeconomic ones, in order to forge a generation that will live in peace and sustainability”.

Aziza hopes to use her platform to change negative ideas that people have of particular countries and to spread awareness about the value of travel.

When questioned about her personal travel objectives, she said that her primary goal for the year is to complete her trips in Asia and visit 100 countries by April.

“I also intend to complete my travels in East Africa and Eastern Europe. There are now just two more east African nations. After that, I want to travel across West Africa in a camper van that I’m going to rent with some pals,” she said, adding that her long-term objective is to accomplish touring every nation by the age of 30.

She also noted that Africa tops her personal list of preferred locations. As reported by Rise Malaysia, Aziza explained that the origin of these “crazy” notions was her mere curiosity about the world:

“When I travel, I constantly relearn something and pick up new skills. For instance, I’ve heard that Iran is dangerous. So I booked a flight to Tehran, the country’s capital, and it turned out to be the most laid-back place I’ve ever been. In contrast to the streets of Barcelona, I actually felt safer in Iran at night. Everyone was very friendly.”

She elaborated on the issues she frequently encountered, citing her sim card collection, the excessive spare change from multiple currencies, and some locations with few options for halal meals in the area, a circumstance that is particularly difficult for Muslims.

Apart from being deemed Malaysia’s “Greatest Voyager”, the Kuchingite also fulfilled her travels across Latin America while pursuing a Masters in International Law. Just last month, the beauty took to Instagram to share a clip of her enjoying her time in Zambia, all while jugging two online jobs and crafting her final Masters thesis.
