It’s a good time for music, and even more for indie-driven local music. With more new acts and collectives popping out, it’s refreshing to see how artistes this side of the world are thriving.

In their own words, Sabdha is a “self-funded community collaboration; celebrating music, the arts and ideas”. Think of it as a cross-cultural community of creatives who celebrate each other’s music, literature and visual art regionally.

Sabdha Series Vol. 1, a gig-series platform and a manifestation of those ideas, features a range of talented artistes with different and unique sounds. For their first gig, they’re bringing BAP from Jakarta, Fauxe from Singapore, local heroes Killeur Calculateur, Pastel Lite, the Rempit Goddess Viktoria, Ichu from Clumsy Gang, Lust and Cahaya.
