Pornhub Sued by Deaf Man for Lack of Subtitles

In this episode of everyday things that are not fully-inclusive, a deaf man is filing a lawsuit against popular adult entertainment site Pornhub for the lack of closed captions.

According to TMZ, Yaroslav Suris claims that the site denies the deaf and hearing-impaired access to its videos that others can easily enjoy – specifically stating that the lack of subtitles violates their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Suris stated that he always feels lost when it comes to the dialogues of Pornhub’s videos like ‘Hot Step Aunt Babysits Disobedient Nephew’ or ‘Sexy Cop Gets Witness to Talk’. We’re pretty sure these interesting story-lines left him a lil’ bit confused at the end of the day, though he probably still rubbed one out.

Suris also brought up the fact that he and other folks in similar situations would spend money for Pornhub’s premium subscription, but calls it pointless without any subtitles. In simple words, he’s suing to get Pornhub to be inclusive, add closed captioning and for… damages? Yes, the original report in TMZ mentioned that Suris was suing Pornhub for “damages”, though it was not stated what kind of damages.

Pornhub VP Corey Price said in a statement to TMZ, “While we do not generally comment on active lawsuits, we’d like to take this opportunity to point out that we do have a closed captions category.”

It’s 2020 y’all, time to be fully-inclusive or else!
