Vans is synonymous to creativity, authenticity, passion and self-expression.

The brand has been circulating the market for years, making an impact towards individuals who are mostly interested in pop culture, music, art, skateboarding and surfing amongst other niches.

Championing self-expression and individuality, the classic silhouettes are usually sported by people who dare to go “off the wall” and challenge themselves creatively.

Now, Vans is adding eco-conscious to its already long list of attributes with their new Eco Positivity Collection.

In celebration of Earth Day, Vans launches their new collection which is inspired by the global shift towards more eco-conscious fashion.

Spreading awareness about the environmental causes present today, the brand is dedicated to demonstrating their commitment for creating a more sustainable model for future generations.

Incorporating organic and recycled materials into both footwear and apparel, the Circle Vee silhouette features a knit upper made with 48% organic cotton, 47% hemp, as well as a drop-in footbed made from at least 70% biobased foam derived from plant-based oils.

The style also features a rubber outsole made with natural rubber that is responsibly sourced, using suppliers that follow proven sustainability practices intended to reduce impacts on the planet.

Meanwhile, the Eco Positivity long and short sleeve tees utilise organic cotton and the shacket and short are made from organic cotton canvas with printed panels and embroidery.

Being a brand for the youths and those who are in touch with their childlike wonder and proclivity towards self-expression, Vans finds it important to stay rooted to their core values while encouraging a better and more sustainable future hence their newfound emphasis on eco-consciousness.

With this collection in conjunction with Earth Day, they hope that their new approach communicates their dedication to reducing their carbon footprint by integrating eco-friendly silhouettes.

The Vans Eco Positivity Collection is available on April 7, at Vans retailers and at their website.
