Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) cutest officer just earned himself an award at his very own appreciation party!
Black the Labrador retriever busted a major drug case in Langkawi earlier this year, only a week after joining the police force.
The 3-year-old pooch was awarded with a certificate of appreciation and rewarded with some well-deserved treats given by Kedah police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat on Sunday.
“Black was given nutritious food as a reward for his outstanding performance. Congratulations Black. You are awesome!”
The drug bust involved a 40-year-old suspect who was arrested with 126.4g of heroin found in his possession.
Harian Metro had reported that the drugs, worth RM7,584, were found hidden in a box placed at a hut near the suspect’s house.
Kedah Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk S. Suresh Kumar said since joining the force, that was the biggest seizure done by Black.
“Black’s presence with his fellow canine colleagues had successfully kept drug distribution on the tourist island in check,” he said.
The acceptance of the award was live streamed on Facebook. Black’s face was clearly overjoyed to see all the treats laid out for him in ceremonial fashion.
