Paranoid Husband Fears Wife Has Covid-19 & Traps Her in Bathroom
We still don’t know how much damage Covid-19 will do but it’s reasonable to be very concerned. After all, it appears to be moderately-transmissible and because of this, some people are on panic-mode to a point that it’s overreacting(?) According to The Star, a man in Lithuania decided to lock his wife in their bathroom because he feared she may have contracted the coronavirus disease.
The man reportedly told authorities that he locked his wife inside the bathroom last Tuesday, after “consulting on the phone with doctors” on how to avoid getting infected. This sole-decision was made after his wife met with a Chinese woman who recently travelled to Italy – the Europe epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Upon realizing that she has been locked in the bathroom apartment, she called the police for help. Law enforcement rushed to the scene to handle the situation and after being tested, the wife came out negative of Covid-19. For now, she will not press any charges against her husband.
Speaking of Covid-19 cases, The Health Ministry in Malaysia today confirmed five new cases of Covid-19 in the country, bringing the tally of infections to 55. Out of the 55 cases, 28 people have been fully recovered and have been discharged. As for the new patients, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has considered that the outbreak has now entered the second wave.
Therefore, Malaysians are advised to postpone travel plans to Lombardo, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna in Italy, Hokkaido in Japan as well as Tehran, Qom and Gilan in Iran.
While you don’t have to lock your significant-other in the bathroom, we advise everyone to keep your hygiene in check! Simply start by washing your hands for 20 seconds every few hours or when you use the bathroom as it can stop the spread of germs. If you want to make sure that it’s 20 seconds, start singing ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ by My Chemical Romance from “When I was” to “the beaten and the damned”.
You’re welcome!
