OhBulan! Launches ‘Paling Viral Online’ To Celebrate Malaysia’s Most Talked-About Digital Moments

The internet wouldn’t be the same without its viral sensations, and OhBulan! knows it.

The online entertainment portal has just launched OhBulan! Paling Viral Online, a campaign dedicated to celebrating the digital creators, celebrities, and fans who have kept Malaysia’s social feeds buzzing.

Set to culminate in a TikTok livestream on 19 December, OhBulan! Paling Viral Online spotlights everything from breakout dramas and catchy songs to meme-worthy moments and the fan clubs that keep the hype alive.

The campaign invites fans to take part directly through public voting, with polls open from 29 September to 25 November.

Seven award categories will be up for grabs: Anugerah Utama OhBulan! Paling Viral Online, Selebriti Paling Viral, Digital Content Creator Paling Viral, Usahawan Paling Viral, Lagu Paling Hot (in collaboration with Hot FM), Drama Paling Viral, and Kelab Peminat Paling Viral. Each voter can cast up to 50 votes a day, making it a true test of fan dedication.

The Top 5 nominees for each category will be announced on 1 December before the final reveal during the TikTok livestream.

OhBulan!’s Head of Editorial Content, Noor Zulaikha Yusof, said the campaign isn’t just about virality, but also a nod to the communities that make it possible.

“We’re not just honouring viral celebrities, influencers, and content, but also introducing a special category for fans,” she said. “Their support is what keeps the digital ecosystem alive, and we want to give that recognition the spotlight it deserves.”

To spread the word, OhBulan! is going full throttle with exclusive features on its portal, short-form videos on TikTok and YouTube (Show Dalam Bilik), and appearances across TV3’s Malaysia Hari Ini and Wanita Hari Ini. Radio stations Hot FM and Kool 101 will also be joining the conversation.
