According to Insider, Netflix has removed Shia LaBeouf’s name from their “For your awards consideration” page amid FKA Twigs’ lawsuit against the actor.

Netflix put Shia’s ‘Pieces of a Woman’ co-star Vanessa Kirby up for best actress consideration but omitted the actor’s name from the list.

Shia’s supporting role in the movie was expected to be promoted but now, it’s noticeably not included next to his character name, Sean. The description reads, “Martha (Vanessa Kirby) and Sean are a Boston couple on the verge of parenthood whose lives change irrevocably when a home birth ends in unimaginable tragedy”.

He also wasn’t featured in any of the images from the film on the page, though he is unavoidably present in the movie’s trailer.

This omission comes after singer-actress, FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia for their allegedly abusive relationship. Earlier this month, Twigs has accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.

“I would like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency”, Twigs said.

LaBeouf responded in an email to the paper saying, “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behaviour made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years.

“I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say”.

As for now, Netflix and LaBeouf have not responded regarding this omission.
