“Masturbating Materials for Sale”: Pedophilic Online Advertisement Found on Online Shopping App
JUICE has previously reported on our finding of an organised cybercrime ring that was selling Telegram subscriptions to innocent people’s nudes through an online shopping platform.
Today, yet another frightening online advertisement is brought to light.
A Twitter user shared on her social media a pedophilic online shopping advertisement that was selling photographs of young children.

The advertisement was listed as “Good item for sale” with pictures of various children on the posting.
The alarming offering was listed for RM6,942 with the product description “Masturbating materials, used, vintage, and limited item, pm (private message) to negotiate on price.”
The most frightening detail in the advertisement was what the vendor put in the shelf life section, “Until dead.”
Netizens chimed in on the Tweet with most commenting that they have reported the listing.
One user asked, “Is this child pornography?”
Another concerned Twitter user directly tagged Shopee to notify the company of the issue to which Shopee responded with, “Thank you for highlighting this to us as we do take this matter seriously. The action has been taken to the above listing and do report to us if have found a similar listing.”
When JUICE previously reached out to Shopee regarding questionable and disturbing ads, Shopee responded by saying “At Shopee, we take a strict zero-tolerance approach to the sale of prohibited items on our platform, and are committed to providing all our users with a safe, reliable, and enjoyable shopping experience.”
“We take preemptive measures to intercept offending listings from being posted on the platform. However, in isolated cases where determined bad actors may manage to evade these screening processes, we take immediate action to protect the Shopee community and continue to strengthen the screening criteria.”
Users of any online shopping platform are advised to report any suspicious or questionable listings they come across when browsing shopping listings.
