According to NST, an argument between two drivers after their cars collided left one bloodied and on the ground in Bangsar.

At around 12.30 am yesterday (30 Nov), a call was made to the police regarding a man found injured at Jalan Telawi 3.

At the scene, the victim was found on the ground covered in blood. The incident occurred just when business premises along the road were closing for the day.

The fight started when two men in a Proton Satria grazed the victim’s Honda Accord at the junction of Jalan Telawi, sparking the attack between the two suspects, the victim and two of his friends.

All five men, including the victim, were intoxicated at the time.

In a statement yesterday, Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar noted that checks showed the two suspects alighted from the Satria car and started attacking the victim before one slashed him with a paper cutter.

“The victim was bleeding profusely while lying on the road. Passerbys had alerted the police but the suspects fled the scene before authorities arrived,” he said.

Anuar added that the victim sustained injuries to his head and was rushed to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) in an ambulance, where he was currently being treated.

“The victim’s car was also damaged… Public with information on the case can contact us at Brickfields police hotline at 03-22979222,” he said.

The police are now investigating the case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for armed rioting.
