By all means, dust off your Dickies and Vans.
Malaysia is finally getting its first all pop punk festival, and it’s about time. Fall Down Festival 2025 is diving face-first into Dewan Serbaguna Menara PT80 on 13 September, and yes, your teenage self is invited.
Announced rather nonchalantly on Instagram by @petaibelalangkl, the festival promises a lineup that’s as angsty as it is anthemic.
And at the top of the bill is none other than Pee Wee Gaskins, Indonesia’s long-reigning princes of punchy hooks and sugary rebellion.

If you’ve been alive long enough to remember their MxPx opener in 2009 or their stint at Rockaway Fest in 2012, congratulations!
You now qualify as a certified veteran. This time, though, they’re not just passing through. This is their first-ever headlining set in Malaysia.
Pee Wee Gaskins, made up of Dochi, Sansan, Ayi, Omo, and Aldy, are fresh off a three-date sold-out tour of Japan and coming in hot. Since 2007, they’ve churned out nine releases without slipping off the radar.
Expect them to drop classics like ‘Fluktuasi Glukosa’ as well as newer gems from their ever-expanding discography. In other words, your voice might crack from screaming, but it’ll be worth it.

But wait. There’s a Malaysian crossover event that’s already threatening to steal the show…
A chaotic, heartfelt, and very likely sweaty joint set by Hacktick! and Pasca Sini. Branded as a “2 bands, 1 stage” performance, this isn’t a split set. This is a full-on merger.
Expect Hacktick!’s frontman Hyke to shout “Kita akan okay!” into your soul while Awal of Pasca Sini replies with his signature croon: “Semuanya, kan menjadi okay.” That’s optimism with a breakdown, for the uninitiated.
Of course, the rest of the local scene isn’t sitting this one out. Penang’s Panasejook and the capital’s Nrthbnd will be holding it down for the scene kids who never left. This Is My Hurricane are returning with a bit of easycore to ruin your makeup and Porcelane will be coating the place in pop-infused shoegaze dreaminess. Yes, you’ll cry, but it’ll be in 4/4 time.
The whole shebang is proudly thrown together by Petai Belalang KL, in cahoots with their strategic partner Atas Angin. Tickets are now live on www.pentasnasional.com.
RM88 gets you in as an early bird if you’re quick. If not, it’s RM108 (still a small price to pay for singing your throat raw in a sweaty hall packed with like-minded degenerates).
Fall down, get back up, and for once, actually go to the show.
