Drinkers, time to fight for your rights to get shitfaced. The Alcohol-Consumer-Rights Group Malaysia (ALCON) is officially making its existence known with their launching this 23 July.
Even though drinkers have been contributing to the economy yearly (5.6 billion spent on beer alone, according to ALCON), they are still subjected to pricey alcoholic beverages. With ALCON, drinkers finally have a consumer association that will hopefully protect their fundamental rights as consumers. The body is hoping to help get taxes on alcoholic beverages cut or at the very least maintained to a more justifiable level in the coming years.
Being a body that protects the rights of drinkers, the launch is understandably very hush-hush. Interested parties must join their Facebook group here and get approved as a member first before being able to confirm their attendance here at the event page.
With only 250 max capacity, those who have clicked attending on their Facebook event page better make sure their asses will be there (or else you’ll be paying outta your asses). This is for cheaper drinks, man, c’mon!
