“The driver attempted to flee towards the KLIA terminal at Level 3, ramming five public vehicles along the route before being successfully apprehended near the scene,” Ravi said.

Further checks revealed that the man has 31 past offences on his criminal record, along with one outstanding drug-related offence.

The case is currently being investigated under Sections 186 and 427 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of duties and committing mischief, as well as Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and for related traffic offences.

The suspect will be brought before the Sepang Magistrate’s Court today for a remand application.

Video of the dangerous car chase went viral on social media, showing the driver ramming his car into several vehicles before being stopped and arrested further down the road.

Netizens also commended the quick-thinking actions of a red Proton X50 driver, who partially mounted the curb to make way for the chase, preventing damage to their car.
