On 14 December at 8p.m., the HRC SkyLounge at KL Sentral opens its doors to a night of soulful movement and connection. Whether you’re eager to try something new or simply looking for a fresh way to socialise, this free Kizomba dance class promises an unforgettable experience filled with energy, culture, and creativity.

What’s On The Dance Card?

Hosted by the ever-talented Sanj & Rabia of Kiz 2 Flow, this one-hour beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to the world of Kizomba Fusion. If you’ve never heard of Kizomba, picture this: a soulful partner dance with roots in Angola that fuses deep cultural history with smooth, fluid movements. It’s the kind of dance that lets you speak without words, where a simple lead-and-follow exchange can turn two strangers into a perfect rhythm duo.

Still curious? Well, hold onto your shoes (but not too tightly)—Sanj & Rabia will also deliver a jaw-dropping Demo Showcase that’s guaranteed to have you questioning why you haven’t started dancing sooner. It’s Kizomba with a twist of modern flair, a celebration of the art and the connection it creates.

Need-to-Know Deets

  • When? 14 December, 8 p.m. (Plus every Saturday at 7 p.m. for other dance styles!)
  • Where? HRC SkyLounge, KL Sentral (Perfect spot to wind down after a busy day, right?)
  • Who’s Invited? Everyone. That’s right, no age limit, no experience required. Just bring your energy and a smile.
  • What to Wear? Keep it casual or smart-casual, but do yourself a favour—ditch the slippers and dress shoes. Opt for flat shoes with smooth soles for easier movement, or strapped heels.
  • What to Bring? Your beautiful smile and a willingness to learn (and maybe a friend or two).

And Kiz 2 Flow isn’t slowing down either! Get ready for their revamped sessions at CuBar Bangsar, Telawi, launching in January 2025. You’ll be dancing into the new year with fresh moves and faces as well as plenty of opportunities to perfect your Kizomba game.
