South Africa’s Amapiano sound is making its way to Kuala Lumpur this Merdeka Eve, with Amapiano star Khalil Harrison set to take over YKŌ.
Known for his infectious production and dancefloor-ready sound, Harrison is the name behind ‘Jealousy’, the breakout Amapiano hit that has racked up more than 55 million streams on Spotify and counting.
Now, he is bringing those big grooves and unmistakable South African energy straight to KL.
Taking place on Sunday, 30 August at YKŌ, the Merdeka Eve celebration promises a night built around Amapiano, heavy grooves and plenty of movement.
With Harrison on the decks, expect the kind of set that does not really let you stand still. From the hypnotic rhythms that have made Amapiano a global force to the high-energy atmosphere YKŌ is known for, this is one Sunday night that is definitely not going to feel like a Sunday night.

The event also marks Under The Radar’s seventh anniversary, making it a fitting occasion to bring one of Amapiano’s rising names to Kuala Lumpur for a proper celebration.
So if your Merdeka Eve plans were looking a little too quiet, consider them sorted. Khalil Harrison is coming to KL, and YKŌ is where you want to be when the grooves kick in.
