Jason Mraz is Coming to KL! Here’s How to Get 20% Off Tickets
The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is best known for what he calls “wedding songs” and rightfully so–you’ve probably heard his hits being played during your best mate’s wedding march and of course, on the radio. His most popular hit, the snuggly ‘I’m Yours’ spent 76 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 beginning in 2008, a record at the time.
Now, thanks to Aco Media Sdn Bhd and The Rock Promotions, the one and only Jason is coming down to Kuala Lumpur, specifically Axiata Arena on 13 May!
Hugely popular on our shores, this isn’t his first time performing here in Malaysia. Jason first serenaded us in 2009, followed by his ‘Tour Is A Four Letter Word’ tour in 2012.
On playing for his Asian fans, Jason says: “I enjoy traveling to and performing for listeners in Asia. I feel a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm unlike anywhere else in the world, which makes a performance feel more like an event than a recital. The audience participation in Asia is harmonic and supersonic. I am thrilled to return, reconnect and re-experience the joy.”
We’re pretty sure that most of y’all memorised (it’s a crime if you don’t!) his top hits like ‘The Remedy’, ‘You And I Both’, ‘I’m Yours’, and ‘I Won’t Give Up’. The simplicity, positivity, and honesty in his tracks are what makes them memorable to all of us, and you can’t deny that it’s catchy as hell.
But before you make your way to the concert, make sure to have a listen to Jason’s sixth studio album, KNOW. Produced by Andrew Wells, who brings an organic and groovy feel to the album’s classic, acoustic rock sound, Jason describes this album as “a bit more caffeine”, whereas his last album was more of a “herbal tea”.
‘Have It All’, the first single lifted from KNOW, peaked at number one on iTunes in various territories including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Listen to it down below:
