Iconic Makeup Brand NYX Cosmetics is Closing Down All Stores in Malaysia

Looks like it is going to be a sad month for all makeup lovers in Malaysia as the well-known makeup brand NYX Cosmetics have announced that they are closing down all of their stores permanently in Malaysia very soon.

A Facebook announcement was made by the Los Angeles makeup and beauty brand explaining that their physical stores will soon begin to close in stages starting from 30 June to 31 July.

For the first stage of their closure, physical stores at Suria KLCC, Sunway Pyramid and Midvalley Megamall will be set to close by the end of June whereas outlets at IOI City Mall Putrajaya will close on 1 July while outlets at Sogo KL, Playup Advance stores in Fahrenheit88 and Sky Avenue Genting will cease business by the end of July.

Even though this does come off as sad news, and it might seem like your last chance to purchase your favourite cosmetic items, there is still hope left as customers can purchase NYX products online through Lazada, Shopee and Hermo until 30 September 2020 and enjoy up to 80% discounts while stocks last.

However, after 30 Sept, Malaysians who want to purchase their products will have to turn to international shipping from stores such as Amazon, ASOS and Lookfantastic. 

NYX shutting down in Malaysia is just one of the many closures of large businesses in the makeup industry and beyond due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
