For two decades, Hydra Malaysia has been a relentless force in the local rock circuit—unapologetic, electrifying, and refusing to fade into the background noise of cookie-cutter cover bands.

Now, as they hit their 20th anniversary, they’re doing what they do best: throwing a rock ‘n’ roll spectacle that’ll shake the walls of Rockafellers Petaling Jaya on 9 February, 2025. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll be there early.

Since their inception in 2005, Hydra Malaysia has been the undisputed titan of the live band scene, raising hell on stages across the country and proving that real, raw, live music isn’t dead—it just needed the right band to keep it alive. This anniversary isn’t just another gig; it’s a reunion, a history lesson, and a celebration of every riff, every chorus, and every night they’ve left it all on stage.

In true Hydra fashion, this night will be nothing short of legendary.

A roll call of past and present members will hit the stage, including Armeen, Hyder, Nafri, Brendon Zachariah, Teddy, Aizad, Zarul, Nona, and Bai, proving that once you’re Hydra, you’re family—whether you’re on the mic, behind the drum kit, or hammering away at a guitar.

Guiding the madness for the night is the ever-charismatic Joy Victor from 9 Lives, because what’s a Hydra party without a little extra fire?
