Heineken Progressive Tour x JUICE
IPOH
SATURDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2012
@BARROOM
It’s not rare to bump into an Ipoh clubber while partying it up in Kuala Lumpur, which is unsurprising considering Ipoh is only an hour and a half away from here. You’d be forgiven to think that Ipoh is scarce in their clubbing scene, but our stop features Ipoh’s EDM it-boy Jonvu. Any state that can produce such a talent can’t possibly be lacking!
HYPEEMBEATS + JEE HOE
House maestros Davern Koh aka HypeEmBeats and Jee Hoe of DJ collective Melee Punks have been in the DJ circuit for a while now, and despite being underdogs, they’ve shone their cumulative deck experience multiple times at events. Even overshadowing headliners at times. However, when they came together to form House This!? at Barsonic with dance music mastermind DJ Blink years back, that was when they opened up a whole new echelon of partying.
TOMMY CHAM
Winner of Heineken Found @ Thirst 2011, Tommy Cham is a natural house connoisseur, playing everything from deep house, tech house, electro house to even techno. Citing one of the world’s most remarkable DJ, Carl Cox, as his biggest influence, Tommy seems to be destined for greatness himself – having played alongside the likes of Tiesto and Blink.
JON VU
Ever since Jon Vu stepped into a club in KL when he was just 18, his life changed. EDM immediately became a part of his subconscious. A student of local clubbing pioneer Bryan Burger, Jon Vu has since spread his wings exponentially. Hotel Scandalous, Sessions, and Lovebomb were familiar club nights to those in the know. Back in his own turf this 8 September, we expect Jon Vu will give a set worthy of the experiences he garnered thus far.
