Health DG Noor Hisham Says He Is “Sad” To See 1000+ Najib Supporters Who Weren’t Social Distancing
Although Najib Razak was found guilty this morning (28 July) during his trial for abuse of power, criminal breach of trust (CBT) and money laundering involving RM42 million funds misappropriated from SRC International Sdn Bhd, the focus of today’s news was also on the former PM’s supporters who did not practice social distancing.
Outrage sparked amongst netizens when they found out that thousands of Najib-supporters wearing blue t-shirts were gathered without social distancing themselves outside the Duta Court Complex in Kuala Lumpur.
Due to this act of ignorance, Malaysia’s Health Director-General Datuk Noor Hisham Abdullah took to social media to express his disappointment in a reply to the Malaysian National News Agency, Bernama.
“It has already been made clear by the Ministry of Health almost every day reminding Malaysians to abide by the SOP for a safe distancing of about 1 metre, wearing the face mask and regularly washing hands.
“It is very saddening to see a situation such as this where there is no self-control,” he posted.
Sedih bila melihat keadaan begini tiada kawalan kendiri.

According to Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy in The Star, at least 200 police were gathered at the scene. He said compounds would be issued to the supporters of Najib Razak if they violate the standards operating procedures of the recovery movement control order (MCO).
