Hard Rock Rising 2012, the global battle of the bands, is fast approaching. That means that aspiring rock gods from around the world, and (most importantly) in Malaysia, are tuning up their guitars and prepping for the opportunity to play alongside Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band at London’s Hyde Park for the 2012 Hard Rock Calling Festival.
The process for becoming involved in the competition is simple. Those interested in registering can do so at any of the 87 participating Hard Rock Cafe Facebook pages, including Hard Rock Cafe Penang. Next, fans will determine who performs live by voting on the Hard Rock Cafe Facebook. Once the fans have chosen their picks, the lucky bands will play a series of live performances at Hard Rock Cafe. The competing bands themselves will pick the winners during these rounds of the competition.

10 bands worldwide will be selected via fan voting on Facebook, from which a panel of celebrity judges and music professionals will choose the best 3 acts. The first place winner will be flown to London for 2012 Hard Rock Calling, the second and third place winners will be the recipients of cash and other awesome prizes. Rock on!
