Following his resignation just two days ago, caretaker prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to bring “good news” this morning.

Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan refused to disclose the details of this announcement, and advises the nation to wait for Muhyiddin’s official statement.

It is unclear on whether the announcement would be delivered through a live television address, or yet another PDF statement.

Upon suspicion that the news would be in conjunction with a rebuilding of a Perikatan Nasional (PN) government, he revealed that the meeting between PN leaders last night has not yet been concluded and the total number of support is still to be decided.

“What is for sure, we are all working towards maintaining a PN government.”

Muhyiddin is clearly not backing down from the spotlight since his four-day debacle regarding his recent shift from Prime Minister to caretaker of the nation.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has since ordered all MPs to submit their choice of prime minister by 4pm today, to fill the vacancy.

Muhyiddin addressed in his resignation announcement that he will not be working with “kleptocrats”, referring to several Umno leaders to were instrumental in leading 15 Umno MPS to withdraw their support for Muhyiddin, forcing him to resign.

Hold off on your pitchforks, folks!

I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see what the “good news” is.
