Gig For Good Brings Back The ’80s To Raise Funds For HIV Causes

Gig For Good is bringing festive nostalgia and social impact together with The Greatest ’80s Christmas Gig, happening on Saturday, 6 December 2025 at Arthur’s Storehouse, Pavilion Bukit Bintang.

Timed in conjunction with World AIDS Day, marked annually on 1 December, the concert will raise funds and awareness for HIV-related causes. Proceeds from ticket sales and a brand-sponsored auction will go toward supporting individuals and organisations working on the ground.

The line-up promises a night of ’80s hits wrapped in Christmas cheer, alongside an auction featuring exclusive items and experiences. Previous Gig For Good concerts have funded initiatives such as the Gua Musang Orang Asli Pre-School and programmes for underprivileged youth. This upcoming show marks the organisation’s sixth event since its inception.

The concert will also honour Dominic Damian, a local musician known for his compassion and generosity. In 1997, he adopted a child living with HIV, who celebrates her 29th birthday this year. To date, Damian has adopted five children and dedicated nearly five decades to serving marginalised communities, embodying the spirit of care that Gig For Good seeks to highlight.

Founded in 2023, Gig For Good has carved out a reputation for using live music as a tool for social change.

From sold-out charity concerts to mentorship programmes for young musicians, the community has consistently turned the joy of performance into tangible impact.

Beyond its concerts, Gig For Good also runs free-entry jam sessions for amateurs and working adults, music-based leadership and team-building programmes, and a 16-week course for aspiring musicians that goes beyond performance to include entrepreneurship, branding, and marketing.
