Hoping to score a windfall at Genting Highland casinos soon? Well, you’re in luck as Resorts World Genting (RWG) will be reopening this Friday 19 June.

Since we’re still in the RMCO phase, the company stated that there will be enhanced safety measures in place to ensure the health and safety of all its guests and employees. However, due to limited capacity, entry into SkyCasino at SkyAvenue and Genting Club at Genting Grand Hotel will be for Genting Rewards members only.

We’re not sure when entry for the general public is available, but RWG stated that they are working on it ASAP. As for the Awana Skyway cable car and Genting express buses, anyone can hop on for a ride.

In other news, for the first time since its formation in 1965, Genting undertook company-wide pay cuts to weather the economic storm brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, last April. According to Bloomberg, 3,000 jobs are expected to be cut at Genting Malaysia Berhad. It claims that downsizing measures have already begun at the hospitality and casino company.
